Sloan is a town/city in Woodbury County, Iowa, United States.

Sloan was platted in 1870 by the president of the Sioux City & Pacific Railway. The town/city was titled for Samuel Sloan, a barns official. According to the United States Enumeration Bureau, the town/city has a total region of 0.62 square miles (1.61 km2), all of it land. The town is on the floodplain of the Missouri River, and is positioned near Interstate 29.

As of the census of 2010, there were 973 citizens , 421 homeholds, and 269 families residing in the city.
